Established in 1987, the Academy is owned and managed by Pivot Point Australia. It is nominated as the Australian research and development centre for hairdressing. Mr Robert Aubin established Pivot Point in Australia in 1969. Today Pivot Point Australia is the most respected company in hairdressing education in Australia and New Zealand.

Quality of Training, Educators and Career

• The Academy is the oldest and largest monopurpose hairdressing college in Australia and New Zealand. It is the benchmark of hairdressing education in Australia.
• Pivot Point International Academy Melbourne is the only corporately owned Pivot Point school in Australia and it is the research and development centre in Australia for Pivot Point.
• The Academy has more than 350 students (local and international). International students population, which is only 20%-25% of the total number of students, come from Korea, Japan, China PR, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Mauritius, United Kingdom and United States of America.
