Antonell Lindrea Educator / Certificate IV Coordinator "Life is sometimes like a movie, sometimes we can write the script and other times it’s written for us...... everyday I choose to be the hero in my movie and I teach my learners to do the same. Find all that is good all that is amazing and all that is inspiring and then press play. I teach young people how to become artists, hair designers, but above all I teach them to ask themselves the question why am i here? As a teacher no matter what we teach this is where we must start first with the individual, life is not a riddle, what we learn is what we become." |

Pareeya Pilakasiri Sale/Admissions and International Student Services Officer “Working with students that come from all walks of life, cultures and countries, I have to be very conscious of the issues they face, be it with their education or their adjusting to life in Australia. I manage this by using a combination of empathy, counselling and boundaries to be adhered to. Often, I will be called upon to assist students with personal problems, and sometimes my role is also as a disciplinarian when a student does not comply to his or her expectations. I enjoy the challenges as it means every day can present new situations.
I am a Social Sciences graduate from the University of Swinburne with a degree in Psychology and I am currently studying for my Master of Business. Applying practice to the theoretical knowledge I have gained, I have complete fulfilment and satisfaction in the tasks I perform.” |

Lorraine Chin Administration Coordinator “One of my many diverse roles here at Pivot Point International Academy is being the first “point of call” for the Academy Reception including visitors, clients and students.
As the Academy has both International and local students, it is fantastic to see them start at the beginning of their studies as novices; then to graduate as professional Hair Designers. At graduation, it is always rewarding to see all students receiving their qualification certificates; as they all have studied hard throughout their training to achieve their goals.” |
