The Diploma of Salon Management is designed to cultivate highly skilled leaders in the Hairdressing Industry. Graduates will complete this program with exceptional business knowledge and industry experience, preparing them for a variety of career choices.

The course is delivered in a competency based environment, where students are supported to develop their critical thinking, as well as being exposed to the challenges they will face in a salon environment.

Throughout the program students will be immersed in real salon and client situations through work experience in Pivot Point’s commercial salon, competition & event planning activities and industry placement opportunities.

The program will see students developing knowledge and acumen across the following units of competency:

Semester 1 (PPDIP01):

• Manage hairdressing services and sales delivery
• Undertake business planning
• Manage finances
• Promote a hairdressing business
  • Lead a team to foster innovation

Semester 2 (PPDIP02):

• Manage quality customer service
• Administer human resource policy
• Recruit and select personnel
• Provide a safe working environment
• Lead and manage people

Delivery Mode & Attendance:

The Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management is delivered in face to face mode, including classroom based information sessions, guest lectures, and experience in the Pivot Point Acadmey salon.

Students will attend 2 days per week on a Thursday and Friday.
