About Sydney

Quick Links

Sydney is the oldest and largest city in Australia, the economic powerhouse of the nation and the country’s capital in everything but the name. It’s blessed with sun-drenched natural attractions, skyscrapers of dizzy heights, delicious and daring restaurants, superb shopping and friendly folk.

It is a city of beauty, elegance and history with a lively energy that offers an invigorating blend of the old and the new, the raw and the refined. The population is approximately four million and it is famous for the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Apart from the major landmarks, Sydney is also known for its vibrant and cosmopolitan nature in offering entertainment, festivals, shopping and sight seeing.

The heart of Sydney, the Central Business District (CBD) is home to major shopping centres, hotels and entertainment venues, and many more important financial and business institutions.
